Floor Plan ​

Create and manage a visual layout of your venue's seating arrangement.

Overview ​

The floor plan provides a visual representation of your venue, making it easy to manage table assignments, view occupancy at a glance, and optimize your seating layout.

Accessing Floor Plan ​

Navigate to All Venues > Select your venue > Floor Plan

Creating Your Floor Plan ​

Getting Started ​

  1. Click Create Floor Plan or Edit Floor Plan
  2. Enter your venue dimensions
  3. Choose your view (single floor or multiple levels)
  4. Start adding elements

Canvas Tools ​

Drawing Tools

  • Walls - Draw room boundaries
  • Doors - Add entrances and exits
  • Windows - Mark window locations
  • Stairs - Indicate stairways
  • Fixtures - Add bars, kitchens, counters

Table Tools

  • Drag Tables - Place tables from your table list
  • Rotate - Adjust table orientation
  • Resize - Modify table size on plan
  • Group - Create table groupings

  • Scale ruler

Floor Plan Elements ​

Tables ​

Add and position tables:

  • Import from your Tables configuration
  • Drag and drop into position
  • Auto-label with table numbers
  • Color-code by status/type
  • Click for details and assignment

Seating Areas ​

Define distinct areas:

  • Main Dining - Primary dining area
  • Bar Seating - Bar and counter seats
  • Outdoor - Terrace, patio, garden
  • Private Rooms - Separate dining spaces
  • Waiting Area - Guest waiting zone
  • Host Stand - Reception area

Mark important locations:

  • Restrooms

Visual Customization ​

Colors & Styles ​

Customize appearance:

  • Table Status Colors

    • Green: Available
    • Red: Occupied
    • Yellow: Reserved
    • Blue: Preparing
    • Grey: Unavailable

  • Area Shading - Different colors for different zones

  • Text Labels - Customize font and size

  • Icons - Add custom icons for amenities

Background ​

Add background elements:

  • Upload venue floor plan image
  • Trace over architectural drawings
  • Add logo/branding

Real-Time View ​

Live Status Display ​

See current venue status:

  • Available Tables - Green, ready to seat
  • Occupied Tables - Red with time remaining
  • Reserved Tables - Yellow with arrival time
  • Being Seated - Blue, guests arriving
  • Needs Clearing - Purple, needs attention

Table Information ​

Click any table to view:

  • Current booking details
  • Guest name and party size
  • Arrival time and duration
  • Server assigned
  • Special requests
  • Order status (if POS integrated)

Capacity Indicators ​

Visual capacity tracking:

  • Overall venue capacity percentage
  • Area-by-area utilization
  • Heatmap of busy zones
  • Available seats counter

Managing Reservations from Floor Plan ​

Assigning Tables ​

Assign bookings visually:

  1. View unassigned reservations panel
  2. Drag reservation to table
  3. Table changes to "Reserved" status
  4. Confirmation sent automatically

Moving Reservations ​

Reassign guests easily:

  1. Click assigned table
  2. Drag to new table
  3. System checks capacity
  4. Updates reservation automatically

Walk-In Seating ​

Seat walk-in customers:

  1. Click available table
  2. Select "Seat Walk-In"
  3. Enter party size
  4. Mark as occupied
  5. Start service timer

Multiple Floors/Areas ​

Troubleshooting ​

Tables Not Appearing ​

If tables don't show on floor plan:

  • Check they're created in Tables
  • Verify table status is Active
  • Refresh the floor plan
  • Check area assignments

Cannot Move Tables ​

If you can't reposition:

  • Switch to Design Mode
  • Check user permissions
  • Ensure not currently occupied
  • Tables with bookings may be locked

Status Not Updating ​

If real-time status isn't working:

  • Refresh the page
  • Check internet connection
  • Verify booking system is working
  • Contact support if persists
